More About Me

Award-Winning Writer

Throughout my college career, I've been recognized multiple times for my writing. In 2019, my short story Marco won second place in the Quinnipiac Wilder Fiction Competition and my poems Belong, Hot Box, and First Love won third place in the Quinnipiac Donald Hall Poetry Competition. In 2018, I also wrote an essay about gender roles in Latino-American culture that won first place in the Quinnipiac Writing Across the Curriculum competition.

I'm an active member of the committee for Montage, my university's literary journal. I assisted in editing the 2019-2020 issue by reviewing poetry entries, fixing typos, and determining which entries fit best into the journal. Being a part of Montage taught me a great deal about the editing process and allowed me to hone a sharp attention to detail.

Experienced Editor

Active Con Volunteer

For the past three years, I've volunteered to assist different companies during the PAX East gaming convention. In 2018, I assisted Rock Manor Games in demoing their game "Maximum Apocalypse" for convention-goers. In 2019 and 2020, I worked for Indie Megabooth to promote their newsletter and assisted in setting up and tearing down the developer booths. These experiences were a great way of meeting awesome indie developers and giving back to the gaming community.
